Homemade amputation

If you are planning to spend an evening challenging your motorical skills by painting small, small patterns, you should NOT start that evening with a long strawl along Scandinavian weathered streets. Just as you know.

Not even Selbuvotten could save me. I am waaaay behind schedule and dream about owning an easel. Lying on the floor painting is not an ergonomic halleluja experience, I have noticed. And if you add...subtract fingers from that scenario. Suffering for art!

Slowly, slowly, slooowly

The hours/days/weeks are passing by, and I am sitting/crawling/lying in the same position, painting the same square cm of my huuuuuuuge canvas. After 30 years of experience, I should have known that I am far too far into details to start this project with a 1 x 1m painting...

Puh, struggeling late hours, and sleeping even harder than before on the train to Denmark every day. But my floor looks very fancy nowadays and my me feels very arty. So, worth it!

Issues

Wohoo, been listening to Alexis Weak and painting all afternoon - Yes!

Been dancing around, splashing some colours on "her" face. She doesn't look cool nor content, which was my initial idea.

I'll be working on her confidence issues...

Who is it and what is the story?

I've always found a mystique in painting faces. The mélange between creating a real and a imaginary person is captivating. Who is it and what is the story?

The canvases are not completely white anymore

It feels good to finally be using the brushes and pencils again. Today I am thinking colors.

WELCOME

This is our little “workshop blog”. Here, we will upload posts to uncover where we are in the creative work process. What has been done, what has not been done and how we feel about it...
The idea for a pop-up art exhibition came out of a joint interest for creating. We had all enjoyed painting, drawing etc. in the past, but never took the time to do it anymore. How come? Does stuck in everyday life ring a bell?! Stepping out of our comfort zone was necessary to resume our enthusiasm for creating.
By throwing a pop-up art exhibition, we do not only step out of our comfort zone, we basically run into a frighting, anguishing unknown territory; Fear of Art Extension.
